Care instructions for printed textiles

Please follow these instructions to ensure the longevity and quality of your printed textiles.

1. Use a standard household washing machine.
2. Set the washing temperature to a maximum of 40°C (104°F).
3. Use a mild detergent suitable for printed fabrics. Avoid bleach or fabric softeners, as they can damage the colors and the print.
4. Turn garments inside out before washing to protect the print.
5. Select a low spin cycle to minimize stress on the fabric.
6. Ideally air dry the printed textiles or use a low-temperature tumble dryer setting.
7. Iron printed areas inside out or place a cloth over the print to avoid direct contact with the iron.

Why proper care is important

Printed textiles are more than just clothing – they carry your design, your logo or your message. Proper care is essential to ensure that colors and prints remain high-quality for a long time.

Depending on the printing method, textiles react differently to washing, drying and ironing. That’s why it’s especially important to follow the care instructions.

Differences depending on the printing method

• DTG printing (Direct-to-Garment): The print is applied directly into the fabric and feels particularly soft. To maintain color vibrancy, use low temperatures and gentle washing cycles.
• DTF transfers (Direct-to-Film): The print sits as a thin layer on top of the fabric. It is very durable but may lose elasticity if exposed to excessive heat or improper care.
• Screen printing: Extremely durable and long-lasting. However, high temperatures, harsh detergents or incorrect ironing can still affect the surface of the print.

What happens with improper care?

• Colors fade more quickly
• Prints may crack or peel
• The feel of the print can deteriorate
• The overall quality of the garment declines faster

With proper care, you ensure that your design – whether DTG, DTF or screen printing – remains high-quality and comfortable to wear for a long time.

In short: treating your printed textiles correctly significantly extends their lifespan and preserves their quality. At the same time, you increase their usability and help conserve valuable resources.
